Welcome to the Stork Birthday Party on 18, 19 and 20 May!
The stork chicks are now clearly visible in their nests. Special activities will be organised for adults and children around the topic of these very special birds.
But there’s still more to come! Join the Swarovski Optik Service Tour, an event organised by Swarovski Optik. A number of stations are available at which you can try out Swarovski binoculars and telescopes, discover their latest products and, last but not least, visit the service bus to have your own equipment repaired. Don’t miss it!
A walk along the stork nesting poles
The Zwin guide will take you for a walk along the nesting poles in the park. The first walk starts at 10:00 on the entrance square. Each hour, you can join the tour to find out about the Zwin’s storks and their young.
- Times: 10:00 – 11:00 – 12:00 – 13:00 - 14:00 – 15:00
- You don't need to book this walk ahead of time, it’s included with the Stork Weekend activities in the standard entrance ticket.
Swarovski Optik Service Tour
You can watch the storks and their young close up with extra Swarovski Optik binoculars. You can test all kinds of products for both adults and children, including a new type of binoculars that have only just been launched. You can try them out here at the Zwin Nature Park.
- The Swarovski Optik stand, where you can try out the various models, is near the entrance. If you have any questions, ask the experts!
- A Swarovski Optik expert is also available at the panorama tower to help you take photographs through the telescopes with your smartphone.
Swarovski Optik Service Tour
Do you own a Swarovski telescope or binoculars? If they need servicing or a minor repair, be sure to bring them. It’s free of charge! Swarovski Optik’s Service Tour Bus will be present during all three days!
Learn to birdwatch with Anna Schneider
Anna Schneider is a member of the De Duifkes birdwatching group, as well as the author of a children’s book on birdwatching in Dutch, 'Ikkanda - Leren vogels kijken’. She will be with us on the Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 16:00 to introduce children to birdwatching.
With Swarovski’s new junior binoculars and Anna’s expertise, your child will soon learn to enjoy birdwatching.
A guide at the stork tower
The park looks quite different when the storks and their chicks have returned to their spots on the nesting platforms.

Visit the guide at the stork tower and take a look from the tower. You can watch the nest without disturbing the birds!
