Zwin Nature Park transmitter project
Transmitting and ringing the storks are part of a long-term research project on storks in the Zwin, in collaboration with the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences. The transmitter project was launched in 2019. Since then, we have fitted three to five young storks with transmitters each year:
- 2019: Hadewijch, Reinout and Emily
- 2020: Kris, Guido, Cora and Esperanza
- 2021: Spencer, Gerana, Murshid, Mathilde and Léon
- 2022: Cezacosy, Firmin, Elisabeth, Robbe and Profke
- 2023: Wout, Smarty, Teamy, James and Caligo
